REUNITED... and it feels so good!

My baby is back!

He came back on tuesday night. I was so excited while waiting for him. I've never had a bigger smile (even at Disneyland) than the smile I had when I saw him. I gave him the biggest hug, trying to hide the fact that I just had a tattoo done the day before.

On the way to the parking lot, he kind of had the idea that I got a tattoo. My tattoo was surprise #1. So I showed it to him. He thought it was really hot and asked me what it stands for. I would have liked to show it to him when we get home and I take off my shirt and notices it. I thought that would have been sexier.

now we're both tattooed.

So talking about surprises, I let you guys know before that I had two surprises for him....

1. Tattoo
2. ???

Well now you get to find out what surprise #2 was. I painted our room. It used to be a darker brown and now it's white and blue. I also redecorated our room to make it look more sophisticated and modern. Here are some pictures...

I got creative with the circles and rectangles. I had extra paint and I thought it would add a little creativity to our room.

Yes! We have a lot of shoes. I'm a shoe freak! Imelda Marcos anyone?

I decorated with hints of purple, orange and yellow. Something bright to contrast with the blue and white walls. I love our poster and bed sheets.

Candles scented with sunflowers (it's his favorite flower) and a little picture frame of our family (me, ollie and our dog chip) on our bedside table.

We barely use our computer table because we also have a lap top and we like using that better.

Our closet...

I also own a lot of hats...

Oh.. and we also own a lot of shirts!!!

He was really surprised with our room. There's times I catch him just staring at it. I must say, I did a pretty weel job on painting by myself. I did it in one day.

My First Tattoo

YES! I finally got my tattoo. After a week of pondering and a week of mishaps... i finally got it.

I woke up yesterday telling myself, it's now or never. I have already told a couple of my friends that I was going to get it, so I cant back out. They actually wanted to watch. So at about 12:30 in the afternoon. I headed to the tattoo parlor. Actually we ate lunch first, becuase I thought if I didnt eat, I would pass out.

We got to the parlor and they told me that I needed to wait. So for about an hour, I waited, scared and nervous. People have been telling me mixed messages about how it hurts and how it doesn't. I can take pain easily and I heal really fast, so I thought it wont be too bad. But nervousness wouldn't leave my mind. I know it's normal to be scared but this is far from anything I would do.

As I sat there, getting my left arm cleaned, there was a little voice in my head asking "Are you sure, are you sure?" I was still sitting there, so I thought I was actually going to go ahead with it. So I did.

The first time my skin and the needle had contact, it startled me. It was the fact that, 1. it wasn't as bad as I thought & 2. It actually tickled. See I have four characters getting inked on my left arm, the first three characters felt like someone was just scratching me with a pen and it kind of tickled. The last character hurt! It was bearable, but I could feel the last one. I felt the needle going through. My friends were asking me if I was okay becuase I was sweating like a pig roasting in fire.

The tattoo artist finished my tattoo in less than half an hour. Thank GOD!!!! It was an experience I would never forget and thanks to my friends, they helped me get through it. I like how it turned out and so does a lot of people.

It kanji idiom for "AIM HIGH AND FORWARD" It's a saying I live by so I thought I would get it done. I am also part Japanese, somewhere up in my family tree. So it was perfect.

Let me know what you think, and if you have a tattoo, let me know about your experience. If you're thinking of getting ink, it's not as bad as you think it would be. Trust me!
